Body found in Spokane River in West Central
May 6-First responders recovered a body in the Spokane River Tuesday afternoon.
The body was reported by a bystander around 1 p.m. near the intersection of West Falls Avenue and Lower Crossing Street in West Central, below the main stretch of Kendall Yards, Spokane police spokesperson Officer Tricia Leming said.
Fire crews were able to recover the person.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office will release the identity.
