Furry Friends unveils art contest winner

May 9-VANCOUVER - This year, Furry Friends cat rescue initiated an art contest to design an image for promotional use for the upcoming fall auction, "Butch Catsidy and The Sundance Kit," scheduled for Oct. 17. The event was launched with the goal of uplifting Furry Friends' supportive community of artists. Becky Duoos-Bourgazas was recently announced as the inaugural winner of this contest.

Duoos-Bourgazas, an animal lover and professional artist, creates detailed portraits of both pets and people. She was delighted to contribute her talent to Furry Friends. Her work can be found on Instagram @RDBOURGAZAS_art.

The winning piece will be framed and available to bid on at the in-person event at Royal Oaks Country Club, 8917 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Vancouver.
