No injuries in Fuller Street shooting incident, 19-year-old arrested
No injuries were reported when the Wenatchee Police Department responded Monday afternoon to reports of a male armed with a gun in the 1000 area of Fuller Street.
Witnesses and callers reported the man was very upset and was possibly having a medical or mental health crisis, according to a Tuesday afternoon news release from the police department.
Upon arriving at the scene, police found an armed 19-year-old man who was arrested and taken into custody without incident. Police say that the suspect's firearm was fired into the air once.
The suspect, whose identity was not disclosed by police, was taken into custody without incident and transported to Central Washington Hospital. Police said that a criminal investigation and any potential charges are pending while the man receives any necessary treatment.
