Help Cowlitz County shape transportation plans

Cowlitz County officials are updating the county's comprehensive plan, which includes transportation goals and policies.

People can comment on the transportation plans during a virtual Zoom meeting on May 28.

A Spanish translator can be available if requested in advance.

There will be another virtual meeting in August or September, according to a county notice.

Cowlitz County is considered a "partially planning" region because it doesn't follow the state's Growth Management Act.

Counties can either opt into following the act or must automatically follow once they reach a certain population or growth rate threshold.

The county must complete its update by the end of the year.
