The following are criminal cases heard recently in Skagit County Superior Court:

RAPE OF A CHILD

A 42-year-old Burbank, Washington, man has been charged with five crimes that allegedly occurred in 2005, 2007 and 2009.

According to court records, Gregorio Estrada Montar has been charged with first-degree child molestation and four counts of first-degree child rape.

The Skagit County Sheriff's Office learned of some of the alleged crimes on April 30, 2025.

Court records state that Estrada Montar allegedly assaulted a girl who was 5 or 6 in 2007 and 2008.

In March, the Sheriff's Office learned of a second alleged victim, who told law enforcement she had been assaulted by Estrada Montar when she was 4 or 5 from 2005 through 2007.

A warrant for Estrada Montar's arrest was issued May 18 and he was taken into custody Wednesday.

Estrada Montar is being held in the Skagit County Community Justice Center on $150,000 bail.

CHILD MOLESTATION, INCEST

A 48-year-old Burlington man has been charged with two counts of second-degree child molestation and two counts of second-degree incest.

According to court records, Micah Daniel Small allegedly committed the crimes against a 12-year-old girl in 2023.

Small is being held in the Skagit County Community Justice Center on $100,000 bail.

FALSE STATEMENT

A 28-year-old Friday Harbor man was sentenced to 25 days in jail after pleading guilty May 21 to making a false statement to a public servant and knowingly possessing a controlled substance.

According to court records, on May 17, 2025, Matthew Lee Ryan was found by Burlington police to be in possession of drugs believed to be fentanyl, counterfeit Xanax and cocaine.

When questioned by police, Ryan gave a false name.
