Drowning reported at Lake Sacajawea

Longview police and firefighters are asking locals to avoid the area near Lake Sacajawea while they investigate reports of a possible drowning.

Longview Sgt. Tim Watson said police found an adult male at the scene with no immediate signs of trauma or assault.

Before that, the police department posted on its official Facebook page shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday that they are conducting search efforts in the area. The post has little information other than that first responders "ask the public to avoid the area while the investigation and search efforts continue."
