Sedro-Woolley roads set for summer repairs
SEDRO-WOOLLEY - Pavement and pedestrian-centered improvement projects will continue this summer in and around Sedro-Woolley.
The Sedro-Woolley City Council recently awarded a contract to TRICO in the amount of $317,153 for the projects.
"There were quite a few tight bids," Public Works Director Bill Bullock said. "All were within about $40,000 of each other."
This amount is $81,690 less than the previous estimate of $398,843 for the project.
"This was a solid bid, and TRICO is a reputable construction company I have worked with on several different projects," Bullock said. "I expect to have a good project out of them."
Design work for the contract was completed by city staff, and construction management will also be done in-house.
The company has 50 working days to complete the project, planned to begin this summer with a deadline for completion set before Sept. 1.
