Walla Walla author to sign copies of her first children's book on June 20

Ludie Arellano will sign copies of her children's book, "The Street Sweeper," from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Book & Game Co., 38 E. Main St.

Arellano lives in Walla Walla and has previously published a poetry collection called, "After the Winter Comes Spring."

"The Street Sweeper," her first children's book, follows a young girl who is trying to discover a mysterious entity roaming the streets of her neighborhood.

"She must drum up all her courage in order to solve the mystery," Arellano said in the book summary.

The book is suggested for readers ages 3-10. There will be free prizes available for kids who attend the signing event.
