Stitched Quilting to hold quilting workshop in Chehalis
Stitched Quilting will host a quilting workshop in Chehalis, led by Corrie Hadaller.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on July 8 and 9 at the Forest Grange, 3397 Jackson Highway, Chehalis.
Attendees will create a scrap quilt top measuring approximately 70-by-81 inches.
Using scrap strips, they'll learn practical ways to sort, organize and combine fabric scraps to create a cohesive and visually dynamic quilt, according to a news release from Stitched.
Residents will also discover how color choices can change the look of the finished design.
This class is suitable for beginners and experienced quilters alike.
By the end of the workshop, attendees will have a completed or nearly completed quilt top, along with the skills and confidence to make more scrap fabrics in future projects. The pattern is included.
Lunch and sewing machines are not provided.
Attendees will need to bring 2 yards of background fabric and 2 yards for the border, which can be a single fabric or multiple scraps.
Participants are welcome to use strips from the class, bring their own scrap strips or request a fabric allowance to shop for materials of their choice.
A more detailed schedule will be provided to those who join.
