SEDRO-WOOLLEY - A 58-year-old Everett man was charged with three crimes Monday for allegedly causing the death of a woman by driving his vehicle into her in Sedro-Woolley.
Anahi Rose Mendoza, 19, died at the scene of the Saturday incident at the intersection of Highway 9 and Highway 20.
According to court records, Kirk A. Brenon has been charged with vehicular homicide while under the influence, hit-and-run, and third-degree driving with a suspended license.
He is being held in the Skagit County Community Justice Center on $750,000 bail.
According to a Facebook post by the Sedro-Woolley Police Department, first responders were called to the scene of the incident at about 2:04 p.m. Saturday.
After Mendoza was struck by the vehicle, the driver fled the scene.
