Freezing rain affecting some school schedules in Pierce County

Freezing temperatures greeted South Sound residents Wednesday morning, prompting many local schools to adjust their schedules.

Tacoma School District leaders announced all schools will have a two-hour delay.

Here’s what school districts around Tacoma and Pierce County are doing Friday (note that these announcements are subject to change, so please check with your school district):

  • Bethel School District: All schools closed
  • Carbonado School District: Two hour delay
  • Clover Park School District: Two hour delay
  • Dieringer School District: Two hour delay
  • Eatonville School District: Normal schedule
  • Franklin Pierce School District: Normal schedule
  • Orting School District: Two hour delay
  • Peninsula School District: Normal schedule
  • Puyallup School District: Two hour delay
  • Steilacoom Historical School District: Two hour delay
  • Sumner-Bonney Lake School District: Two hour delay
  • White River School District: Normal schedule
