Dust advisory issued for Adams and Lincoln counties early Saturday evening

A dust advisory was issued by the NWS Spokane WA on Saturday at 3:42 p.m. in effect until 4:15 p.m. for Adams and Lincoln counties.

"At 3:39 p.m., a dust channel was over Ritzville, moving northeast at 30 mph," says the NWS. "Hazardous travel."

The advisory is for Ritzville, Marcellus and Tokio. This includes the following highways: Interstate 90 in Washington between mile markers 214 and 237. U.S. Highway 395 in Washington between mile markers 92 and 96.

The NWS adds, "Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your foot off the brake."

This advisory is in effect until 4:15 p.m.
