UPDATE: Fire weather watch affecting Okanogan Valley Saturday

The NWS Spokane WA issued an updated fire weather watch at 2:07 a.m. on Friday valid for Saturday between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. for Okanogan Valley.
"Affected Area: Okanogan Valley (Zone 703). Winds: Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Strongest winds expected across southern portions of Fire Zone 703. Relative Humidities: 12 to 20%. Impacts: Rapid fire spread is likely with any new or ongoing fires. Winds will start off south to southwest, and become west Saturday evening. Winds will shift to the north Saturday night and remain gusty into Sunday morning," states the NWS.
This watch is in effect until Saturday at 9 p.m.
According to the NWS, a fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings.
