Mother Teresa: Her anti-condom stance was devastating
Re: “Mother Teresa becomes a saint,” (TNT, 9/5).
As Mother Teresa has been sainted by the Catholic Church, I am reminded that this woman went to a continent, ravaged by AIDS and venereal disease, and taught people that, yes, AIDS is bad — but not nearly as bad as condoms, which are sinful and forbidden.
Millions of people listened, and one can only guess how many died directly or indirectly from her efforts
Ninety nine percent of all species that have ever existed on this planet are now gone, and although no one reading this newspaper will probably live to see it, humans could join that list. If we do, it will most likely happen because of one of two things (or both): religion and fossil fuels.
