Election signs: Prohibit them from public property

Every two years, our communities start looking like junk yards thanks to all the political signs everywhere. Every stitch of public land becomes cluttered with these brightly colored eyesores, and what do they really accomplish? A fun target for teenagers to hit when walking by? A battle between candidates?

Do they really influence people’s votes or are they just a display of which candidates have the most money behind their campaigns? Cities need to prohibit signs being placed on public property. Let’s stick to private individuals supporting their candidates on their own private property and help keep our communities looking good through the political seasons.
