Animals: Kathleen Parker's article "If Animals Could Vote.....9/7/16

Re: “If animals could vote, it wouldn’t be for Trump,” (TNT, 9/7).

If there is any credibility to Kathleen Parker’s column, we should be alarmed by the “advisers” and “appointees” that Donald Trump has surrounded himself with. They sound like heartless souls whose only aim is to make factory farms and puppy mills all the more cruel in the name of more business profits.

Is our country willing to elect a president who condones his son’s gleefully posing with the African animals they have butchered?. Did they need food? Perhaps water buffalo cassoulet or elephant tail soufflé? No, they are the 1 percenters whose actions have no consequence.

Gandhi had a warning for us in his famous admonition: “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
