Election: Public education in Washington wins with Chris Reykdal as OSPI
I have been an educator for 20 years holding positions in several states and countries over the course of my career. With this experience, I am confident in my decision to support Chris Reykdal for Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Chris received the sole endorsement from the Washington Education Association overwhelmingly, and that was because it was clear that he was the candidate who would consistently oppose privatization efforts, work well with all stakeholders, and work with the Legislature to get full funding.
Chris has served as a teacher, school board member, current state legislator (Vice-Chair of the House Education Committee), father to two kids in public school (5th and 7th grades), husband to a school counselor and school board member, and he has served for 14 years as a budget executive for our state’s community and technical college system.
I have met with Chris several times, and he is consistent in what he says no matter to whom he is speaking. I find him honest, trustworthy, passionate about our kids and their potential, and he will be a strong voice in Olympia.
Please join me in voting for Chris Reykdal for Superintendent of Public Instruction.
