Election: Why is the GOP so blind?
Re: “Lock her up talk is worse than locker room talk” (TNT, 10/13).
Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer makes a strong point about the dangers of threatening to lock an opponent up.
Why can’t so many in the GOP see the demagoguery, narcissism and overt aspirations to dictatorship in Donald Trump?
One who advocates and encourages the punishment and incarceration of his/her political opponent obviously aspires to a reign of repressive, dictatorial government akin to Iran and Russia to name a few, where opponents to the government get jailed, murdered and tortured. Is that what the GOP wants?
It is so easy to take our democracy for granted and believe that it will be here forever. Beware what you wish for.
The GOP has allowed and wrought on us all a sleazy demagogue to become the presidential contender and thus given us a picture of what it stands for.
We need a viable counterbalancing party. The current GOP does not fill the bill.
