ST3: 54 billion dollars of folly and waste
The Pierce Transit already has a bus line operating on South 19th Street that serves 22 stops from downtown to Tacoma Community College. If it passes, Sound Transit 3 will serve the same route but with only six light rail stops.
The cost for the entire ST3 package is estimated to be $54 billion. Since “they” are going to spend that money, I assume it exists somewhere. Maybe “they” should ask the food banks, drug treatment centers, homeless shelters and all the other programs that strive to help those in need how the billions should be spent. Planting steel rails in the ground will not be their answer.
If your idea of utopia is little trains running around, you are welcomed to keep that opinion. My idea of utopia is helping those in need.
