Lincoln High ambassadors: Students bring back hope
Re: “Student’s excursion of a lifetime at an end” (TNT 10/18)
Thank you for your wonderful coverage of Lincoln High School’s trip to China. Reading your article today brought me hope. In a time of such hate-filled divisive rhetoric in our politics, it is wonderful to know that students are learning life lessons of acceptance and kindness. Reading what they have learned was uplifting. They are coming home ambassadors, not judging others by their looks, or language, but by their “kind heart,” as one student so beautifully stated.
Thank you to China for hosting and funding this amazing experience; to principal Patrick Erwin and his staff for all the planning and preparation, and to the students for their open hearts.
May we all learn from their experiences.
