Carbon tax I-732: Pass it, then fix it

In the October 15 issue of The Economist magazine there is an article about Initiative 732, Washington’s revenue-neutral carbon tax proposal. After reviewing both sides of this important issue, it concludes with the sentence, “But environmentalists would be mad to pass up the opportunity the high turnout of a presidential election year presents to pass green initiatives - especially one as desirable as a carbon tax.”

Voters, if there are minor flaws, pass it now and fix it later, but make it happen. The world needs us to take action.
