Election: Bryant, McClendon worthy of top state jobs

If I had to rebuild a new culture in state government for accountability, transparency and citizen rights I would start at the top. We need a dynamic duo in Bill Bryant and Marty McClendon to represent the people for the governor and lieutenant governor posts by working cohesively.

We already have begun this new culture of state government responsibility with a new Department of Transportation chief. The question is whether voters will finish the job on Nov. 8, and whether state leaders will act when the 2017 Legislature opens in January. The problems have come from the top and have been deep rooted for 30-plus years.

What will you do about it? Let’s rebuild starting with Bryant and McClendon.
