Election interference: Comey trades integrity for Trump

Last week FBI director James Comey learned agents investigating Anthony Wiener had found letters possibly related to Secretary Clinton’s server. The Hatch Act prohibits government employees from releasing information that may affect the outcome of an election within 60 days of that election. Regardless of the law, Comey sent letters to all the Republican committee chairmen in Congress and then announced it to the public.

This has now been used by Trump to support his assertions that: “Crooked Hillary belongs in Jail,” “650,000 more emails have been uncovered,” “Hillary was the worst Secretary of State ever,” etc.

Comey could had classified the letters to Congress and stayed legally within the Hatch Act. I guess he forgot. Now Comey’s FBI has released 16 year old paperwork on Bill Clinton in a further attempt to sway the election.

Jim Comey has sacrificed his impartiality, his integrity, his honor and he has betrayed our country to support his party’s candidate — Donald Trump.
