Legislature: Seaquist has positive record on tolls

Re: “Sorting out ads in 26th District,” (TNT, 11/2).

I read the TNT’s “smell test” story about negative ads that were sent out by the state Republican Party. One of the ads claimed that Narrows Bridge tolls increased while Larry Seaquist was in office.

However, the initial schedule was set to increase tolls to $9 by now. Seaquist fought hard and succeeded in stopping the tolls from increasing at their scheduled rate. In fact, under his watchful eye, toll payers save several dollars each time they cross. If you do the same math for Rep. Jesse Young, toll payers save just 50 cents.

Seaquist is the only candidate with a clear and consistent record of supporting residents of this district.
