Republicans: What's hanging in local party window now?

Re: "Elections show GOP gaining ground in Pierce," (TNT, 11/13).

Take note of the fickle support of the Pierce County Republican Party at its office on Steele Street. Here's a chronology of the party's sign displays, in case you weren't watching:

Donald Trump gets the Republican nomination; the party puts up a huge Trump sign in the window. Trump calls judge a Mexican; sign goes down. Post-convention bounce; smaller Trump sign goes up. Trump offends Gold Star family; sign goes down.

A few weeks pass and Trump doesn't do anything too offensive; small sign goes up. "Access Hollywood" video released; sign goes down and stays down.

Day after the election; a huge Trump sign goes up.
