Traffic: Join in reciting the I-5 motorist's prayer

Re: “Why is this I-5 interchange near Dome such ‘insanity?’” (TNT Traffic Q&A, 12/5).

Each time I pass through the convoluted mess of interchanges and on/off ramps that throttle traffic near the Tacoma Dome, I issue a fervent prayer.

I beseech the Almighty that each and every person who designed or worked on the construction of this highway horror shall, upon their individual demise, be dispatched to that theological place of eternal punishment wherein they will spend all of eternity driving that section of I-5 on a hot summer day with a flatulent dog in the back seat.
