Bill Hall: Time to put down the pen

Re: “Goodbye from your unmet friend and stand-in grandpa” (TNT, 12/10).

Bill Hall, Thank you for your last writing, a wonderful gift of openness. I had never read you column, but today, for the first time, I did. I found your telling us who you are inside refreshing.

We all journey to the new moment , which is always filled with awe. Appreciating the magnificence of that awe is exhilarating. You are the gift, opened for all to see the beauty within.

Your ancestors await your coming, as you are the ancestor of those yet to be. Celebrate, rejoice, set your compass for home and let it rip.
