Knitting: Busy hands do charitable work

As the days grow dark earlier and the temperature is dropping, some of us who like to knit or crochet will reach for our needles and yarn. If you don’t have a current project, then might I suggest that you pick a charity and knit your bit, as they used to say during World War II.

There are so many charities out there that supply cancer patients with chemo caps, blankets and other handmade things that can gratefully be used. You could make a prayer shawl for the sick, or crocheted squares to be made into blankets for the homeless.I could go on and on.

Don’t forget our soldiers who can use warm wool socks and helmet liners.

Please pop onto the Internet, find a charity in need, and put your wonderful skills to good use.
