Restaurant: Kudos to astute, caring people in Puyallup
Re: “Arista in Puyallup reopens with help from other restaurant owners” (TNT, 12/1)
Kudos and great respect to Tim Mellema and the other Puyallup restaurateurs for coming together to help Ben Herreid keep the fresh pasta restaurant Arista open. My hope is that with their help, both of Herreid’s restaurants will become solvent and thrive.
Thank you to Sue Kidd who wrote the article and included the picture of prayer. With so much horrible news reported in the media these days, it is absolutely wonderful to see articles that show caring people rallying around another to help them. I know the paper periodically includes uplifting articles, but perhaps The News Tribune could devote at least one page of their daily newspaper with uplifting news and stories of how people help one another. It might help keep life in perspective that even with the horrible things that happen on a daily basis, there are many wonderful kindnesses that also occur and should be reported with just as much frequency.
