Hollywood: Musicals should be kept squeaky clean
“La La Land is a true musical that amazes and delights,” (TNT Go section, 12/30).
A new movie musical is showing locally, but to my utter disappointment, it is rated PG-13 for brief vulgar language. Do we really have to have vulgarity in musicals?
I’m sure Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers would also be disappointed. I’ll just keep watching the “oldies” on the TCM channel. I don’t have to be concerned about ratings on them.
