Sound Transit: Surprise! You'll pay a fortune

Re: “Higher car-tab bills landing in mailboxes with ST3 tax hike,” (TNT, 2/18).

I’m sure that all you folks that voted “yes” on Sound Transit 3 last fall are surprised to learn how much the car license tabs increased. You see, the ST3 promoters were skillful in making it sound like the increased taxes were going to be minimal.

Ha! The joke’s on us. Maybe it’s not too late for Pierce County residents to opt out. After all, we rejected the measure.
