Political humor: Politicians make easy picking

Saturday Night Live’s ratings are going through the roof because politicians are proving to be such easy cannon fodder. Picture lining up a howitzer two feet in front of a big red barn. How could you miss?

SNL’s political lampooning is not a new phenomenon. As an example: the late, great Groucho Marx once observed “Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere , diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.”

Obviously, things haven’t changed much.
