Car tabs: Increases make painful impression

I had heard the warning about my car tabs going up under the Sound Transit 3 plan, so when my notice arrived yesterday, I thought I was prepared.

It had risen from $170 last year to $256.75. That hurt!

The way I see it, this will happen again in the future, for we will be told the first license tab increase wasn’t enough. I wonder what has to happen for the voters of Washington to say “no” when something affects us as drastically as this.
