Restaurants: Food matters, not political correctness

Re: “Culture theft? Critics close burrito stand,” (TNT, 5/29).

So the burrito stand in Portland was shut down because it was run by two white women, making it “culturally incorrect”?

If I hadn’t read it in the paper, I wouldn’t have believed it.

So should we look into Bruno’s and the Rheinhaus, a pair of local European restaurants? I know Bruno is Polish, and we’d better send the food police to the owners of the Rheinhaus to check their birth certificates, which had better read “Berlin.”

I highly recommend you eat at these two restaurants because I know real food when I eat it. That’ s because I believe in cultural appreciation without giving a hoot who fixes the food.

Good grief.
