Politics: Open letter to Congressman Reichert

Dear U.S. Rep. Dave Reichert: In 2001, you caught the Green River Killer, and became a bonafide American hero. You rode that much-deserved popularity to political success.

Unfortunately, sir, you are no longer a hero. Your continued allegiance to the Trump clown show and to the heartless Republican leadership is a disgrace.

Every day that you continue to be a willing participant in this travesty is another day that you lose your soul. I think you already know this.

But this can all change. We call on you to repudiate the Republican party, announce yourself a Democrat, apologize to Washingtonians and to America and invite other Republicans to follow your example.

You must re-commit yourself to working for “We The People,” and not for the malignant interests that control the Republican party. The Democrats can certainly do better than they have; you can help transform them. But you must repudiate the Republicans.

You can once again become an American hero. Be the first to take this step. You just might save your soul — and our nation.
