Anthem: Respect tradition, or stay in locker room

Re: “Don’t want to stand for anthem? Then walk away from football,” (TNT, 8/15).

What is wrong with NFL team owners and Commissioner Roger Goodell? Allowing high-paid players to disrespect the National Anthem by kneeling or sitting down gives them a political platform while they’re at work being paid by the owners and fans.

Either stay in the locker room when the anthem is played or do your platform on your own time.

I agree with sports columnist John McGrath. Other talk show hosts are trashing him. Write on, John!
