GOP: Time is now to repudiate Trump

After hearing the vociferous reiteration of remarks from President Donald Trump about the violence in Charlottesville, I’m calling upon Republicans, whose party he represents and whose party elected him, to specifically and publicly denounce him and his obvious support for Nazis, white supremacists and racist violence.

I am horrified beyond belief that a president would empower such repugnant and dangerous sentiments and actions. His assertions three days after Charlottesville are the culmination of many other statements, actions and policies fostering discrimination and violence against many groups of people.

At this point, it is incumbent upon Republican public office-holders at all levels to publicly repudiate not only these statements and actions, but this president himself.
