Eclipse: If only this unity could continue

In view of all the discord in our nation recently, I was very pleased on the day of the solar eclipse. As a nation we seemed to have been in complete unity as we viewed it.

I have not read of any fights, arguments or other unrest at any of the viewing sites. It seems that as a nation we were all together, in awe of what we were viewing in the sky.

I saw people hugging and responding with cheers and happy tears. Race, gender, age and political views were not an issue.

It’s good to know that we can come together in a crowd and still be in unity. We need to carry it through into our daily lives.
