AG lawsuit: Who really deserves $11 wage?

Re: “Detention center hit with minimum-wage suit,” (TNT, 9/21)

I believe this lawsuit filed by Washngton Attorney General Bob Ferguson is ludicrous.

Currently the lowest wages for the lowest enlisted personnel in the U.S. armed forces is less than $11 an hour, when you figure the work week for a service member is a lot more than 40 hours.

Why isn’t Ferguson bringing suit against the Department of Defense for all the lowest enlisted to be brought up to the $11 per hour (plus overtime) minimum wage before he sues for the detention center detainees who, in addition to the $1 a day, receive food, clothing, medical care and a roof over their heads?
