Protests: Players should keep it to themselves

While I respect every citizen’s right to freedom of expression, I can only wonder if a pro football televised game is the proper venue. Maybe some players don’t realize that our flag and national anthem are symbols of our country that many of their fellow citizens hold dear.

I believe that they should hold their beliefs and opinions for after the game. I think the Seahawk players should stay in the locker room for the rest of the season and donate their paychecks to those whom they feel are being oppressed.

As a veteran, this team has lost my respect. To the TV stations, the print press and radio who broadcast or write of their exploits, I will resort to a total blackout.
