Election: Cowan gets transit, environment

By Chris Karnes Tacoma

As a frequent rider of public transportation, I want to encourage residents of Tacoma’s District 2 to strongly consider Philip Cowan for the City Council. He understands that securing clean air and water depends on rapidly greening our economy and transportation networks.

He knows that a convenient and efficient transportation system doesn’t just happen; it takes initiative and planning by local leaders. He supports the Tacoma 2025 vision of a walkable and bikeable city with frequent and reliable transit service.

It’s because of this commitment to raising the bar that Cowan has been endorsed by Transportation for Washington, Washington Conservation Voters and the Sierra Club.

His optimistic vision and progressive advocacy align well with the values of District 2.
