Anthem: Why not kneel in the stands, too?

Here’s a possible compromise to the question of kneeling or standing during the national anthem at NFL games.

On the field: Football players may kneel to show their desire for equal freedom and justice for all, thereby showing respect for the American flag and what it stands for.

In the stands: All military veterans, and anyone else who respects the flag and our military services, should kneel and pray that one day Congress will finally provide adequate salaries for career military members, better VA services and actual cost-of-living increases in veteran pensions.
