Congress appears rushed to act against the middle class’ overall best interests and move in favor of the political donor class with a hurried and skewed tax system rewrite.
It seems the deductions many people use and have based significant financial decisions on, such as assuming a home mortgage, may vanish to help lessen the revenue shortfall.
Reading how both the Senate and House proposals are structured, it seems the middle class will be hammered even more in coming years if the governing party passes this legislation. But the donor class will make out handsomely on the middle class’ backs.
I urge you to contact your congressional representatives and demand they stand up for many who will bear the burden of this tax legislation, not just the few who happen to donate so lavishly to political parties.
