Social Security: 2018 increase brings no cheer
‘Tis the season to be cutting: our Christmas tree, the Christmas turkey, federal taxes — and our Social Security checks.
While we were looking forward to the announced 2 percent cost-of-living adjustment in 2018, we were informed of our real increase: none for my wife, 0.3 percent for me, apparently due to higher Medicare charges.
Bah, humbug.
