Fireworks: A recipe for unhappy New Year
The recent New Year’s fireworks festivities started around 2 p.m. Jan. 31 and lasted until 3 a.m. Jan. 1, not to mention the occasional blast days before and after the holiday.
Some people will say they have the right to celebrate. But this should not mean competing for the loudest boom, keeping your neighbors up all hours, frightening their pets and disturbing the wildlife.
With all this money to burn, how about a donation made to the needy, or perhaps any animal shelter?
