Unions: Workers, celebrate your indirect pay raises

Re: “High court’s union decision means much for the state,” (TNT, 6/28).

Our U.S. Supreme Court has freed all public sector employees from the tyranny of forced unionism.

Now is the time for action on the part of hostages who have for so long been required to pay for union activism as a condition of employment.

Many people didn’t know this was going on even as near as your neighborhood elementary school blocks away. Some teachers were being held hostage for decades.

As a condition of employment they had to forfeit an average of $1,000 a year to mandatory union dues.

The claim from the unions is that it’s all for employee benefit. Well, then why was the pay collection involuntary?

Now you can keep your raise, or give it to the union. Now it is your choice to use your voice as you see fit.
