Tacoma church: No space for grace for everyone
Re: “Him too? Church must move past Curry,” (TNT editoiral, 7/5).
In your editorial, you refer to Life Center as a “ space for grace”. It has hardly been that for the LGBTQ community.
The church does not affirm or embrace those who are in same-sex relationships. The Assemblies of God, teach and preach that people in such relationships “fall short of God’s plan.”
There is little grace in that understanding.
The editorial says this is a time to “raise up a new generation of faith leaders.” Tacoma is already blessed with a growing number of faith leaders young and old who care for their community and are welcoming in their ministry to model Micah 6:8.
Several of those faith communities are represented at the Pride Festival happening this month.
