Deficit: What happened to GOP responsibility?
The federal deficit grew 23 percent during the first eight months of the fiscal year, according to the Treasury Department. Corporate tax revenue dropped 25 percent while spending increased.
The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office expects the deficit to grow as spending continues to exceed revenue.
Apparently the traditional Republican principle of fiscal responsibility, not to mention pro-immigration and international leadership, has been discarded in favor of an authoritarian president who clouds real issues with emotional fear mongering.
If this is the new Republican party, I’m out.
