Senate election: McClendon beholden to party; Randall isn’t

One thing I love about my community is we don’t vote for somebody based on their political party. We vote for the person who will represent everyone. I consider myself a Democrat, but I proudly voted for two Republicans.

Our community is fed up with partisan politics. We want representatives who can look beyond what their party is doing and do what the voters want.

I am concerned with 26th Legislative District Senate candidate Marty McClendon’s ability to do that. The vast majority of McClendon’s campaign fund comes from the Republican Party.

We cannot expect him to represent us when his campaigns rely on him keeping the Republican Party happy. We need a senator who is not owned by a political party

That’s why I voted for Emily Randall. Her campaign is funded mostly by regular people living in the district. She will bring the voice of voters to Olympia, not the voice of a party.
