Prosecutor race: Reign of fear almost over

“Prosecutor race shifts to low road as Lindquist turns up attacks on Robnett,” (TNT, 8/19).

Now that Mary Robnett has beaten him handily in the primary election, Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist’s approach is to attack her with familiar tactics that President Trump uses.

Robnett is above all this, and I assume that bothers Lindquist even more.

It was not easy standing up to this bully in 2015. Only a handful of people were not afraid to go up against him. That was how much power and control he had.

So many people wanted to help our recall effort but were afraid to. They did not know what would happen if Lindquist found out they supported the recall. This was real fear.

The tables have turned and Lindquist soon will be gone. It will be the beginning of positive leadership and accountability.

Patience has been our virtue. All those who stood up to Lindquist throughout this journey have shown that justice will prevail.

(Iseberg was president of a committee that tried to recall Lindquist from office.)
